Sue Butterworth

Compliance Director

experience

I have over 30 years of experience in Financial Services and Wealth Management having started my career at Lloyds Bank in 1985 working my way through Admin, Support and Adviser roles to Compliance and Regulated Supervision, achieving my Chartered Financial Planner qualification during that time.

I joined CDC part-time in 2017 to work in compliance and to fulfil the 1st line Supervisor role for our Advisers. In 2020 I became Compliance Director taking responsibility for all aspects of compliance and supervision.

Working for a small firm, I wear many hats at CDC and get involved in anything that needs to be done to keep the business ticking over.

personal interests

Married for 25 years with 4 step-grandsons aged between 6 months and 13 years, my free time is at a premium. I relax by reading, eating fine food and drinking the odd gin. An RHS member having previously volunteered for them, I enjoy lots of short breaks in the UK as well as holidays abroad.

In lockdown I started volunteering to help the elderly in our local community and still do that now.
